Nuclear Science and Engineering at Mines
The parent organization of NuGeo, the Nuclear Science and Engineering Center (NuSEC) at the Colorado School of Mines seeks to advance nuclear science and engineering research and enhance the education of new and established professionals. NuSEC was created in 2008 to apply a demonstrated Mines capability in response to the rejuvenation of the nuclear industry. NuSEC is advised by the nuclear science and engineering community and is managed by a faculty panel consisting of CSM faculty members participating in center activities. The day-to-day activities of the center are handled by a Director. All contracting and business activities are conducted through the Colorado School of Mines.
